Routine servicing helps maintain warranty validity, identify potential faults early, and maximise the lifespan of your solar, battery, and inverter components.

When to Request a Service

Regular servicing is recommended every 12 to 24 months, depending on your system type and environmental conditions.
However, you should also contact Rainbow Power Company if you experience any of the following:

General indicators:

  • Reduced energy generation or performance
  • Error lights or fault codes on your inverter or battery display
  • Visible wear, corrosion, or damage to cabling or isolators
  • Recent extreme weather, such as heavy rain, flooding, or high winds
  • Scheduled maintenance required for insurance or warranty compliance

For off-grid systems, we recommend annual inspections, especially where backup generators or large battery banks are used.

Types of Service Available

  1. Preventive Maintenance
    A routine system check is designed to ensure everything is operating within safe and efficient parameters.
    Includes inspection of panels, isolators, cabling, earthing, and inverter settings.
  2. Diagnostic Call-Outs
    On-site investigation for systems showing persistent faults, reduced generation, or communication issues.
    Technicians perform diagnostic testing and provide a detailed service report.
  3. Post-Storm or Damage Inspections
    Assessment following storms, flooding, or high winds to check for physical damage or water ingress.
    Includes a written report for insurance or warranty purposes.
  4. System Upgrades or Expansion
    For customers looking to add solar capacity, increase battery storage, or modernise existing equipment.
    Our technicians will assess system compatibility and recommend upgrade options.

Before requesting service, please have the following details ready:

  • Your system type (on-grid, off-grid, or hybrid)
  • Inverter and battery model numbers
  • Installation date and original installer (if known)
  • A brief description of the issue or service required
  • Recent photos or monitoring data (if applicable)

Having this information ready ensures your service request is prioritised and processed accurately.

After Your Service

Following your inspection or maintenance visit, you will receive a detailed Service Report summarising any findings, actions taken, and recommended next steps.

If additional repairs, upgrades, or warranty claims are required, our team will provide a written quotation and coordinate follow-up work with our technicians or the component manufacturer.

Safety Notice

Never attempt to repair or open electrical enclosures yourself. Solar and battery systems contain high-voltage components that can cause electric shock or fire if handled incorrectly.

Only a licensed electrician or accredited technician should perform electrical servicing or maintenance.
