Coverage and Terms

SMA provides a comprehensive factory warranty on all products. Standard warranty terms apply from the date of purchase or commissioning, depending on the model. Customers can extend cover to 10, 15, or 20 years during the initial warranty period. In Australia, eligible inverters may qualify for an extended “5+5” warranty when registered within 12 months of commissioning through Sunny Portal.

How to Make a Claim

1. Record your inverter’s serial number and commissioning date.
2. Check eligibility for warranty or extension via SMA’s online warranty portal.
3. For Rainbow Power Company installations, contact our service team to start a claim at team@rpc.com.au or call (02) 6689 1430.
