Coverage and Terms

Victron Energy provides a comprehensive manufacturer’s warranty that covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. Standard warranty coverage applies from the date of purchase and varies by product type:

Extended warranties must be arranged before the initial warranty expires and may be purchased directly through Victron or authorised distributors.

All warranties are governed by the Victron Limited Warranty Policy (2025), which specifies product categories, exclusions, and claim procedures.

Victron’s warranty does not cover damage resulting from improper installation, misuse, unauthorised modification, or use in environments exceeding rated specifications.

How to Make a Claim

1. Record your product’s serial number and proof of purchase.
2. Contact your original point of purchase (such as Rainbow Power Company) to lodge a claim.
3. Your dealer will assess the fault and submit a claim via the official Victron Support Portal.
4. Depending on the assessment, Victron will:
   • Repair or replace the product, or
   • Issue a partial or full credit note.
5. Replacement parts or repaired units carry the remaining warranty of the original product –  warranties do not reset upon replacement.

Claims can also be initiated through Victron’s Support & Repairs page for products registered under a Victron Remote Management (VRM) account.

Key Notes

• Standard coverage: 5 years for most hardware.
• Batteries: 2–3 years depending on type.
• Optional 10-year coverage for select inverters and chargers.
• Customers are responsible for the correct installation by qualified technicians.
• Warranty is non-transferable and valid only for the original purchaser.
• Installation, removal, or freight costs are not covered.
• Victron’s online system allows distributors to track warranty claims directly with the manufacturer.
